Do you feel it's important to be physically close to your first rental?

lol I used to work for a medium size insurance company in their Indianapolis claims department as an all lines of business physical damage adjuster.

We have a physical meetup meeting on 1/28/2020 in Spring where you can network with local investors. 

How did you get estimates for the work needed without a physical walk-thru?

@Angela ZaitzIn a successful attempt to keep the money on the hill, Big Bear Lake requires you to have a property manager or responsible person on file with a physical address that has a one hour response time or less to the property.

You can give notice of eviction...you just cannot physically evict until the moratorium is lifted.Running a business is challenging in the best of times.

If you want something you must exercise discipline, make trade offs, and work hard.  

Here is an exercise that I hope you find enlightening.  

Only a pair of the crew of five I had lined up showed up, so my son and I had put in some serious labor this morning.I had installed a keypad deadbolt the last time this unit turned over with a lock with a physical key mounted on the porch.  

Or if it's worth finding a property manager who is minimally involved (the things I can't do while physically in another country) while I manage the bulk of it myself?
