Ideally, I would love to invest in a deal where I could eventually rent on AirBnB and be a place where I could also occasionally use as a get-a-way.

We’re also open to doing it with a condo, but ideally a 2-4 unit.I’ve seen buildings that need some work (mostly modernizing or repairs like a new A/C) that I have stayed away from because we are trying to limit the amount of cash we’re putting down. 

An ideal situation would be a property that I could either house hack or at do short term rentals out of when I'm not in town.

Ideally, just 1 trip to get going unless you like going there.  

I want to have multiple rental properties at some point, so this would be my first and it is ideal by not having a mortgage.

We are looking to buy around January ideally but wondering if we should wait and rent a place for a few months to see if prices cools down. 

Seems like scattering would require you to build multiple teams to manage, which seems less than ideal.
