For deep frying it seems like the installation of a ducted vent hood would do the job-- that's what restaurants use.

My current set up:(1) Furnace (in unfinished basement) with shared duct work to both units (1) Water heater in basement used for both units(2) separate electrical boxes for each unitHeat/ gas bill shared Separate Cooking oil/ stove bill for 2nd floorNo ACThe thermostat / temperature control is only in the 1st unit so all the 2nd floor can do is open/ close its duct work----Seems like I have three options that i can think of.

The cabinets I used were an espresso color with maple doors and 1/2" real plywood boxes, dovetail drawer boxes, soft close hinges and drawer guides all at a price of about $1000 per kitchen.

Before dismantling the toilet, put some food dye in the tank wait a few minutes for the color to disperse and then visually inspect the bowl to see if any of the dye is coming thru into the bowl without flushing the toilet, if you see the color in the bowl, time to change the flapper or entire flush assembly.Also, check all the interior and exterior faucets/spigots.

For the HVAC I would have it cleaned by a professional company, make sure to have the ducts sealed with a smoke sealer product and they thoroughly clean the heat exchanger coils and squirrel cage blower.
