Insist on work and payment request verification independent of your partners - i.e. don't let the guys spending the money maintain strict control over who it was going to and for what it paid for, even if you have to be the independent verification service yourself.

@Joe TwingI recently received a form letter from the MA section 8 office.It states that you must request any increase 60plus days before your annual lease renewal (it specifically said not your inspection date).

I would also say you can't just open a business and have unspeakable wealth, real estate is a business like any other endeavor...they all take work, as the song goes "there ain't no free"
