As a buddy of mine likes to introduce himself as an Entertainer/Real Estate Investor, funny guy - I will introduce myself as a Property Owner - Remodeling and Demolition Contractor - Web Site Developer/Owner - Dad, Friend and well, I think I earned the title Businessman.

It can be done but all your investor buddy's will call b.s. don't worry about them.

There seems like there is frequently old schools for sale in my neck of the woods....people buy them and try to turn them into apartments or industrial complexes......I have a colleague that buys them up like crazy for some reason.....they don't get very much for them......he bought one just so he'd have a place for him and his buddies to play pick up basketball games......rents the rest out for storage or whatever..... he also rents to religious groups / cults,  that want to teach their beliefs to their kids.......he seems like he's doing fine with them?????  

Find them through Google and meetup.com You can look up the club website and call club officials and vendors to get referrals before the meeting.Have a buddy who walks a targeted neighborhood door knocking on doors speaking to residents on behalf of the local politician.

I have 3 buddies that are all willing to work together as partners and we need some guidances as to where/how to get started.we basically know exactly what we're looking to get into:We looking to invest in real estate for the long term.

A buddy of mine paid for their 3 day seminar and didn't care much for it.
