You need to be mindful of that, and develop a strategy to ensure you can deduct interest.

And will definitely keep that in mind to make sure I continue to look for and find the best people out there - not just settle for the first!

Another new-ish investor and I are meeting for coffee this Sat at 2pm to discuss pretty much anything that comes to mind.

Keep in mind, this was what I was told so find out from other agents in your area.

Obviously not a concern for the unit you'll occupy, but keep it in mind as you're searching, and maybe consider inheriting existing tenants if you'll find yourself off-peak.

One thing to keep in mind, is transportation.

I'm pretty new to BP as well :)  Keep in mind that some Big White properties can have ridiculous strata fees for a two bedroom condo ($700+/mo).
