Anyone familiar with the Memphis area 38111 close to University of Memphis south campus?

Looking to connect with other real estate investors in the Auburn Alabama Area

In gathering info for my monthly newsletter I came across this report by Rice University on future gentrification opportunities in Houston.

I am not sure if it is a Meetup group or Facebook group but it used to meet at National University in RB on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. 

We've got two big hospitals, two universities.

From what I've read, the model cannot  be applied universally to all situations, markets or exit strategies.

We have been looking into the Chatham, South Deering and Auburn Gresham areas.

Grateful to God and all forces of the universe, for being able to keep our clients properties rented with high quality tenants and the ability to continue to find good off market deals.

Have not done this type of rental yet BUT my college buddy's wife's family owns a couple of decent sized apartment complexes in  Maryland, which are focused on off-campus university housing for students.

And majority of the contractors listed on Google don’t do residential work just commercial.I actually had to go all the way to Auburn to find someone decent.
