As far as I've looked into it myself (apartment complexes and things of the like are my end game) the bank requires landlord experience on top of multiple other requirements just to get said loan. 

My end goal is definitely commercial apartment complexes, but Im not sure if I have the right pieces in place to make that happen.  

My goal is to own my first Duplex – Triplex soon and within the next year or two own my first Apartment complex.

Last month the HOA board installed solar screens on every window in the complex without informing the owners it was going to be done.

Though there are legitimate concerns that this complex will push gentrification, I think it will add to the vibrancy of the Hilltop neighborhood.As a new investor, I'm not sure if the addition of this complex will push up rents in the area by increasing average rents and desirability, or depress them because it is adding a significant number of new units, thus decreasing the demand on other units.
