I only want to give people the honest truth so they can move forward.

A little bit about my experience in Real Estate… I started a couple years ago doing some house flips in Detroit ( It was a 2 year plan) then decided to sell everything, moved to Washington DC which can’t afford anything in the DMV area but last year I purchased a very nice 3500 SQFT Duplex in Shaker Heights, suburb of Cleveland. 

My name is Matt, I recently moved to Houston and would really like to get into the local investment scene. 

It seems like yesterday when we moved that couch into the apartment! 

I don’t plan on moving out anytime in the near future. 

So we did live in it for 71 days last year before moving from the state, so it was technically only available for rent for 294 days...and out of those days it actually had renters for 151 days.

I just moved to Phoenix/Tempe from Boston (learned about the price to live in that city the hard way haha) and I'll be finishing my finance degree at Arizona State.

When I/my son move out can I rent this unit to 2 college students (that are not related)?

Ernest,Besides all the real estate/property/transactional tips above; you need to understand that running a short term rental is running a business.
