My mother lives in Lancaster & I will be there Oct. 13 - 18 to visit. 

There is a mother in law unit, which we got a permit from the seller, but there is an unpermitted 1bed/1bath in the garage, which we are willing to have removed if the loan would be approved.The MIL unit is currently rented with the lease ending 10/31, so if need be we can ask the seller to have the tenant vacate at that time..I don't know what to do, I just emailed the loan officer back that there is a permit for the MIL unit, which I attached to the email and also an addendum for sellers credit for the unpermitted work (the garage) which we were planning to demolish once we purchased the house.

My colleague at work jsut finally convinced his mother to move from Detroit. 

My dad was retired army and my mother was a nurse.

Nursing and CNA's, but also administrators and many others. 

I need to nurse the credit report and tax return for the next few months before I can borrow more money.  

@David RobertsYou're right David when I inherited a property my mother was renting out I was stuck with a squatter and it was a nightmare.

I am a single mother of two, and I am very proud of myself for getting this done :)   my goal is to give my kids the best future that I can <3  thanks for all of the podcasts, and everyone that posts on here. 

I would not even do it for my own mother now.Peace.

Hint: there's so much hype on BP and elsewhere about 'absentee owners' that you'd think this is the mother lode of real estate profits.
