The other issue, as it has been stated, is that it becomes financially tricky to take a property out of the portfolio, so you also sacrifice flexibility at a time when you begin to scale and flexibility can be really important.

The real estate in Alabama is so cheap and in this college town finding tenants won't be a huge issue. 

I have tried email and Zoom calls but have not been able to get a straight answer as to what the underlying issue is which makes me automatically assume something shady is going on.

As bad as that all sounds, ALL of these issues could have been taken care of before closing and repaired or her buyers could have backed out of the deal.

As far as I know @Jessica Aldakar, you will have to reside on site in order to STR the others.Several other members have had issues even when living in another unit.
