Then we moved to Detroit from 2017-2022 and built a 12-door rental portfolio while there.We relocated back to CA (central coast) last year and I'm still actively investing and helping others get started in Detroit as well.

The RSO ordinance allows for an owner eviction of a unit given 60 days notice and payment of relocation assistance.  

I'd say metro-market maybe vs west-coast...where relocation services are more prevalent due to scale, cost of living is high, where physicians move families, and where nurses travel in groups for fun locations. 

Hello everyone, I'm 25 years old, from CA looking to relocate in the summer to Chicago.

I just relocated to Waco.

Currently I live in Pennsylvania, I use to work as a Tech Consultant at a large firm and I hoping to a relocate different state to start my real estate career.That's why I want to reach out to you and ask for your input.

Offer included a large down, no contingencies and 45 day close so owner could relocate.

In addition to other poster's ideas I also subscribe to Expansion Management online mag and Site Selection online mag to keep up with where companies are expanding and relocating to.

Theoretically you can make it work, but the beginning stage of this is pretty tight. if you would be willing to stay in it for three years , raise the rent after the 1 year that would work in my opinion I would possibly consider staying there for two years, but I may be relocating out of the area at that point.
