Owner Occupancy Eviction - Los Angeles

Colton Hector
Posted

Hi,

I am in escrow on a duplex in LA City.  The RSO ordinance allows for an owner eviction of a unit given 60 days notice and payment of relocation assistance.  I am starting to see that the landlord cannot market the unit at market rents upon moving out? Apparently you have to re-rent at the same rents that were in place with the then previous tenant.  Am I reading this wrong? If anyone has knowledge on this I would greatly appreciate it.
