Call the town or county and get the owner's name and number from the tax rolls (it's public information).

I always thought they were more for the techie nerds, then for the mainstream public, who is used to windows.

I personally would recommend using the MLS and other public places to find "leads" to off market properties.

I read that they are putting in a new airport there for business means but it will also be a small hub for travel and leisure for the general public.

Even though I am just giving the owner a partial release, the title company is telling me that they need the original note and Deed of Trust so that the Public Trustee will file the partial release.

In the public record you can see if the recent transfer is between people or banks.

But, is it really self-explanatory for the public?

On the first page it says "public records online", click on that.

The MLS sheet listed the sq ft. source as "per public record", so on Monday I'm going to go to town hall and look at that public record.
