They says its because of a law that prohibits making politicians home addresses public and that because they can't identify who's a politician and who's not, so they don't make records available online.But the idea is still valid.

Regulators need a consistent basis to apply oversight, not wishy-washy or no enforcement and then a crack down.Leave it to politicians to screw things up.The other point of this is to take the teeth out of the regulators, while your initial gut reaction is yahoo, not so fast, most of the subject Acts open financing back up to common sense type lending, increasing qualifying ratios, which means after all the whiners are done crying about compliance means a greater availability to loans, not the contrary as claimed.

However, I've been warned that investing in vacation rentals can prove disastrous if the politics of the region are unfavorable.That is, in certain areas in California (Coronado I've heard for instance) the city has essentially banned rentals for under 30 days, effectively destroying the Air B N B and vacation rental market there.Does anyone know if there's any such push in the Avila/SLO area by local politicians or the community?
