I am currently using the GI Bill attending york tech community college, perusing a business degree.

In the early stages it may be attending a REIA mtg, or calling a loan officer to explore options, or reading 30 pages of a REI strategy book.

I currently have not made any contacts or networked with other local investors however I would like to start attending seminars and learning from anyone that I can.

Hello BP Community,My name is Tyler, and I currently live in Roanoke, VA where I attend medical school.

Some are very good at managing and others fail at it.I remember being a teacher years ago and I disliked it because most of the job entailed managing students, attending meetings, grading papers, attending parent-teacher conferences, coaching basketball, managing my time, and managing my classroom.

Attended my first meeting last week and planning on going to many more.

I have been listening to podcasts, attending webinars, taking vigorous notes on evernote, pretty much trying to be a BP sponge.

I have attended Baltimore REIA, Rehabber Pro is great; they actually do their meetings at a house that has been renovated by a member.  

But, offering a $4 cup of coffee, attending a conference, or offering your time to that investor to dig a trench, paint a wall, or clean out a unit while she/he is flipping a building gives them reason to think you are worth the skin you are rocking.
