Hello BP Community,

My name is Tyler, and I currently live in Roanoke, VA where I attend medical school. I just discovered BP about a week ago, and I have been churning through the podcasts which I have enjoyed. As a medical student, I don't have the money to actually do any investing in real estate, but I figure now is as good a time as any to start learning. I do devote most of my time to learning about medicine, but that will only get me so far with my personal goals.

I have spent the last year or so learning about personal finance and investing, mostly about stocks, bonds, and index funds. Educating myself about finances has definitely helped me be a bit more frugal at the same time. I originally got interested in learning more about financial independence and FIRE. Although I don't see myself wanting to retire early, I love the idea of being able to live without a job once I have a certain amount of money.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello with this brief introduction, and I am looking forward to becoming part of the community.

Tyler
