Or are in deep denial. their rich uncle is going to bail them out last minute. they are going to sell the boat to save the home etc etc. the fact of the matter is for most by the time the sale is publish their credit is trashed no one you or me is going to help that. for the homeowner its about getting some cash and walking.Now also keep in mind a lot of times it better for the homeowner to let the property go if they have no junior encumbrances and your in a hot market with a lot of overbidding.. the overage over the amount owed goes to the home owner I have seen homeowners get 6 figure checks by holding on and just getting the overage.
