I know what I want to accomplish in this and know what direction I want to go just hard to get the ball rolling.

I started a 2018 goals post with a list of my goals and I have enjoyed the periodic updates about other peoples goals and accomplishments all year, so I thought why not do it again. 

Long story short, even though I didn't make a penny on this deal...which isn't even a deal at all...I am feeling pretty good about doing everything I could to help this lady out, even if the only thing I accomplished was reuniting two family members who haven't been in touch for a while.

This accomplishes a couple different functions.

Trending topics has an amazing post about house hacking, well wroth the read and may help you accomplish getting an investment property and your wife out of an apartment. maybe buying a duplex and live in one side and rent the other.

It's not an exact lease purchase, but it accomplishes a lot of the same goals. 

The more info we can record on this site the better for future developers looking to accomplish similar goals.
