Real Estate Meet Up Advice

Good evening community, I was wanting some advice on a Real Estate Investing Meet Up I started a couple months back.  Attendance has been has been good and a lot of great discussion has taken place. One thing that I've noticed is a lot of the attendees just observe and don't really engage and any conversation. Now, being an introvert myself I understand it is uncomfortable talking with a group of people you have just met. I just want to make sure I am creating a welcoming environment for all investor types and skill levels. For those of you who have attended a lot of meet ups or hosted their own, can you offer any advice to help me make this event successful in the future? Things you liked/worked or didn't like/didn't work.  Do groups typically use an agenda? If so, what would that look like? Below are the details of the meet up:

Location: Local Coffee House

Hours: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Date: First Tuesday every month

Thanks in advance for all feedback.

Hi @Jeremy Aldridge.  I host 2 meetups and they both have a different agenda and style to them.  I come from a place of adding value to each and every person who attends our meetups which is why we do not go with the typical "networking" event where you show up and talk to whoever is there.  As you mentioned, as an introvert this is difficult and uncomfortable at times.  So we focus on adding value and putting people in a position to communicate with one another.  Here are the agendas to both of our meetups, hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.

Out of State Apartment Investing Mastermind

6:30 - 7:00pm - Networking (food/drink orders)

7:00 - 7:15pm – Introductions/Goals Review

7:15 - 7:45pm - Workshop: Analyzing a Deal (This changes every month)

7:45 - 8:15pm - Speaker Series: Real Estate Success Stories

8:15 - 8:30pm - Goal Setting- Everyone sets one goal to accomplish before the next meetup

8:30 - 9:00pm - Questions/Networking

Cerritos Multifamily Roundtable - each person goes through all 4 listed below

-GOALS - What are you doing right now that will move you forward in the next 30 days?

-RECOGNITION - Describe what you accomplished personally, or in your business, this week.

-NEEDS/WANTS - Ask for anything you need. For example, "I need to find a good CPA or Property Management Company" or "I am looking for a deal with this criteria"

-OPPORTUNITIES - If you have a deal or an opportunity for the group you can let everyone know about it and see if anyone would be interested in hearing more or even partnering with you on the deal.
