Some areas, like the ones youve mentioned tend towards the higher end of the risk spectrum, other areas like Montgomery and Howard counties tends towards the lower end of the risk spectrum.

My first ever in fact.Would love to be pointed in the direction of:- Great Property Managers- Other BP investors who are generally helpful and approachable (In the DFW area)- Agents- Wholesalers- Contractors- Any general (or specific) advice on the area I realize this is a broad ask, but you all seem helpful so I'm throwing it out there.

While you may find a single planner that can sufficiently model your retirement cash flow needs, you are likely to find that a whole lineup of planners / advisers can best serve you in sourcing the broader spectrum of alternative asset classes.Due diligence and sourcing is simply a bottle neck for anyone.

I met with one this past week, and he pretty much shut down my business idea immediately, quoting sections from the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act of 2002 which provides a *very* broad definition for the word 'trading', and goes on to say that nobody may trade real estate in the province of Ontario who is not registered as a broker or salesperson working for a brokerage, or who is otherwiese 'registered' as defined in the Act.Here's a link, see section 4 subsection 1:http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_02r30_e.htm#BK6Now I will fully admit that the attorney I met with didn't seem to have much experience dealing with real estate investors - perhaps I should have screened him more carefully.

Go broad and narrow at the same time: What I mean here is people try to go after just the top 1 or 3 keywords... which is were the majority of the focus is w/ the big players.
