David is correct in that IF you have vested ownership in the general partnership (or whichever legal entity is used for the syndication), then yes, you can legally market your deal to others (within the legal peramiters and there are many).

Here in CA, a contractor may only charge 10% of $1000 (whichever is less) at contract signing and must provide a written contract describing what services they will issue, what timeline, what draw schedule for payments, their license info, their workers comp info, and several other disclosures.
