I'm also not a fan of these hundred dollar seminars/classes I'd rather read a book, does anyone's recommend me to get my RE licence so I can have firm background knowledge or what!!??.

Hi BP,I'm working towards my first deal right now but one of my family members says they came across something about a needing a Maintenance licence to be able to do any repair work in  units that you own.  

In most states you need a licence to manage any property you don't have a vested interest in.

I started my Real Estate Pre-licence course through the WRA last summer but due to my living situation changing i was not able to finish.I'm heading to Rice Lake, WI this summer to start college (yes I'm only 18).

From what i understand one needs to have a licence to " negotiate " a sale on behalf of an owner.
