Would you have to put egress windows in or dig window wells?

It may discourage the lazy plaintiff, but it would not provide protection from someone who digs just a little bit.So we have an umbrella policy. 

Ive had a number of situations where (I was told at least) that we would have to run a new water service line from the street to the house, so depending on how far of a dig, it was going to be like 3 - 5k.    ?

It will become a lien against any of his/its solely-held real estate.I once saw a show i think on 60 minutes of these traveling contractors .. some sort of eastern European ethnic group.. that set out from the east coast digs and went across the country doing these scams.and of course in the areas of the country with big hail damage you have storm cashiers that represent roofing companies. i have been called by many..

Besides the fact that my working capital is tied up in the SFR right now and I’ll need to dig up a rich uncle to make this deal work, where do I start to find out if this is a good deal?

I remember hearing on the BP podcast that if you want to build a house you just need a 6 inch slab, but if you want to build the Empire State building you need to dig a deep foundation.
