Ive had a number of situations where (I was told at least) that we would have to run a new water service line from the street to the house, so depending on how far of a dig, it was going to be like 3 - 5k.    ?

It will become a lien against any of his/its solely-held real estate.I once saw a show i think on 60 minutes of these traveling contractors .. some sort of eastern European ethnic group.. that set out from the east coast digs and went across the country doing these scams.and of course in the areas of the country with big hail damage you have storm cashiers that represent roofing companies. i have been called by many..

I remember hearing on the BP podcast that if you want to build a house you just need a 6 inch slab, but if you want to build the Empire State building you need to dig a deep foundation.
