Hi,

I have a few duplexes that have one water meter for 2 units, Akron, Ohio.

Whats the best method to make the tenants pay? Send equal bills each month ?

Looking for an advice and a possible solution.

Thank you !

@Ryan Mullin What's the biggest water bill you have ever been stuck with lol? I separate all of my utilities on my initial rehab after I buy a property before I put it in service, if needed. Being a local DIY investor I can do this for significantly less cost than someone in CA that has to trust someone else to manage the process for them. In the OP case I guess I'd cover the water and try to raise the rent up significantly to make sure I never have to subsidize someone else's utilities.
