I want to ask if there is any networking opportunity in this area and if you think investing multi-family home now is a good idea.

Remember its the inspector's job to find "something" to report on.

Did that event create any buying opportunities for you?  

I have onsite management, but I manage reservations and communications remotely (and I have a full time job, so I really need the software to keep me organized, not the other way around, haha!).  

Each property had a value-add opportunity for each of them so I could have purchased them for a discount.

You have an opportunity to start with a clean slate and hopefully choose the type of marketing that provides the most effective and efficient use of your money and time.That being said, there are plenty of program marketers selling complete packages costing $8,000 a month and up, with a 12 month commitment.

Some of them take leasing seriously and do a great job. 

If a difficult tenant told me I’ll have sold the building before they move I’d be looking at the old lease and already giving them notice of non-renewal at the first opportunity.

Above all, make yourself stand out with the property, even if the market is flooded with these 100k opportunities.
