Sometimes you can talk directly to the owners.Use the Internet - Websites can show you houses that are being sold because the owners couldn't pay their bills or are in other kinds of trouble.Check Public Records - Look at official papers to see if a property owner is behind on taxes or other bills, which could mean they need to sell fast.Study the Market - Learn about how much houses in that area usually sell for and how much you could sell it for after you fix it up.Be Careful - Make sure you investigate the property fully to see if there are any legal problems or money owed on it.By using these steps together, you can find properties that might be a good investment because they need work or are being sold at a lower price than usual.Kind regards,

@Angela Fondeuri started by renting out a condo that i used to live in, and i grew slowly from there.the reason that i say a cheap property isn't going to help move you forward is because you'll be spending money on it that could be saved for a house hack, and you won't cash flow, because interest rates are too high.i am making numbers up but say you need $40K to buy a property in the midwest in a good neighborhood.

The people in the room are the people you do business with they have the deals, the money, the services, the knowledge, the legal help and everything else you need to do a deal. You could try to make those connections here on BP, but nothing beats going to a meeting and talking live and face to face - you might event get to meet Andrew, he speaks from time to time - or all those vendors - we had 40 of them in a room last month just for everyone to come ask them questions. So find your local group - where ever it is - find or join several.
