That's a GREAT ideaWe've also noticed that a LOT of properties listed in Hawaii are listed as "single-family" when in fact, they have, as you mentioned, an Ohana, and/or, say, a unit above the garage, a studio on the ground floor, etc. and you would think, be listed as a "multi-unit"? 

Looking at Studio Shed and Boxabl currently.

She paid the mortgage on the primary home but after receiving all of the income from the studio in the back of that home and rental income from a friend who rented a room for 5 years from us. 

They are small (most 1 bed, a couple 2 and studios) with low rent per unit.

I'm currently doing longer terms but soon I'll have an available studio downstairs that is just screaming to AirBnb lol (after i finishing fixing it up lol ugh renovation) I've heard good things about it, I tend to pick long term... treat well and then keep... however, at times I'll admit that I've delayed raising rent and such because... if Im not careful, I "buddy" up... so best to break that one before things get much bigger.

The only thing I got out of it was some debt on credit cards, Guru books, VHS Videos and Cassette audio tapes along with frustration, disappointed in myself, and gave up, the only thing I did get out of it was my interest in Real Estate but didn't do anything for another 24 years! 

Currently is a SFH (unit #1) with a studio apartment attached (unit #2).

If you are not an avid reader or don't have time I would highly recommend an audio subscription (eg Audible) so you can 'read' many other books about RE.   

I'm looking for roughly 3,500 square feet of space to rent for a fitness studio in either:-- downtown (78701), -- downtown north (78705), or -- downtown west (78703). 

Little studio log cabins people can rent with a kitchen, bedroom, bath and living room.
