I owned 30 or so rental units in Rochester, NY and my electrician had a sister that lived in Sarasota.

Well about 30 minutes ago I got my first call from the sister of the owner of the property I sent out a yellow letter to.

I started investing when I was in college under the guidance of my sister who is an agent.

Over a year ago we convinced my sister & her husband to also retire there and we jointly looked for a 20+ acre "ag exempt" property that didn't have restrictions preventing at least 2 homes.

I have marketed a couple of rentals for my sister company and it was really an eye opener to see how many applicants have bad credit and can't qualify (unless they can put down 2x the deposit - and most CAN'T). 

My sister actually moved to Australia a couple years ago. 

I also manage three store fronts and a 2 bedroom for my Sister.

I mean I just read a post where a guy was ready to use a havoc on his mothers and sisters home.

I bought a rental in Austin following my cousins' several rental investments there, and this time chose the Raleigh area because my Seattle buddy and his sister both bought rentals 2 years ago and are happy (~$150 to 200 cash flow per month).

I think this question first came to mind in researching homes in my sister in law's Dallas suburb and knowing what they pay in rent (in the $2,500) range and seeing homes listed under $300K in that zip with a great school district.
