Property 2 is in a very solid, retail part of the city, and number 1 is in a more residential area, but two blocks from police, gas station, laundry, newer restaurants, etc.

-Post flyers/ads in the local bulletin boards around the neighborhood convenience store, grocery store, gas station, laundry mat...etc.  

It is one block from the metro north Fairfield (not Fairfield Metro) station so it should be easy for you to get to if you don't want to drive.There is a similar meeting starting in Norwalk CT. 

I wonder how many emails Daniel has sent to the corner gas station, advocating for a "sliding scale" on fuel prices, or to the neighborhood supermarket to stagnate food prices from when they were first a customer? 

I think there IS a religious-based homeless shelter about eight blocks away -- I know they run a soup kitchen.And yet a $7.6M "educational clubhouse" built by a private foundation is going up across the street from my duplex, next to the municipal building/police station/firehouse.The reason that your classification points won't always work is that the kind of activity I'm describing is, in this case, being caused by obvious gentrification next to an obvious lack of it.

VA Loan is an awesome tool for military to utilize, except there doesn't seem to be a way to use it if stationed overseas (Been overseas 8 years and looking at 3 more years). 

It has worked well, tenants like that they can get more news stations and even Netflix or so little per month.  

What landmarks/intersections/train stations do people like best in ENY?

@Simcha Davidman I believe that military personal maintain residency of their home state regardless of where they are stationed.

I bought my first property when I was stationed in Abilene about 3 years ago.
