I don’t remember the addresses, but one was a 100 year old duplex with major structural issues surrounding a central stairwell and the other was a 1950’s build with a block wall tuck under garage that was beginning to shift, causing issues throughout the house.

Its nicer than Union City IMO, bit too far but has some form of exclusive appeal, tucked away.

These houses are often tucked in neighborhoods of 3/2 houses that have great $150-200k comp prices and usually a few flipped houses to compare to. 

You tuck into away and hope to get a return down the roadblock.

I have a strong amount of equity (close to 6 figures) in my house, and a lot tucked away into savings and retirement.

It's enough to make me tuck my tail and run, accept for one thing.

Looking at a two unit apartment building, thats been completely remodeled. 5 yr old roof, new carpets, appliances,drywall and even the brick work outside has been completely tuck pointed.

Adding a $150/mo. tucked away for emergency expenses and looking on the other side when the rents double its a pretty good deal.
