Hi all,I am currently a new investor honing in on flipping homes in the upper north Dallas region.

I live in Charlotte North Carolina and should I file for a LLC before I purchase my first property?

I personally stay away from companies like Northwestern and the like.

The attorney's here in GA charge North of $1700 to handle barment (which I think is outrageous considering how simple it is), so for two properties I'm looking at paying $3400.Now, I know exactly how to do every piece of the barment myself but I'm holding the property in a corporation and the laws in GA prohibit a corporate owner or officer from representing the corporation on legal matters (which is nuts to me!).

From Boston plan on investing west or south in western mass or CT.

I invest in the western suburbs, and NW suburban cook county. 

I'm not familiar with that area as I am from farther north.

What I'm saying is it seems like the tornado nor the coronavirus is slowing down business in Nashville so far, at least for me.I'm in South Korea so I have an interesting situation effecting short term rentals.

I don't know what your local requirements are for costs incurred/required for setting each type of company nor the related costs to maintaining and doing the tax filings (e.g. do you do your own accounting and taxes?
