Our government encourages shopping around with different lenders, so if the credit report is obtained by multiple mortgage companies within a close time period---let's say a month, the effect on the credit score will be minimal.

Part of my luck I guess has been buying in strong school districts and mostly B type property, I feel I would have gotten burned more if it was C type.Agree with you on approach, I have been strict with application requirements and have a high bar on credit score, etc.

or some call them pipe farms.. there were some incredible deals in 2010 on dirt far out weighing most any other investment just on buy it for X sell it 7 years later for X.
