My Property Manager tells me that 3 bedroom units are actually more difficult to rent out (in this area) and the tenant quality will be worse.

Do any of you use this method? 

For me, it depends on the scope of non-permitted work, and the apparent quality of the work.If it's an addition, adding square footage, I can see it being an issue come taxes/appraisals/etc. 

It really is difficult because it requires a mental and business shift of paradigm.But like everything, if you put in quality work, you can get quality rewards.

I have lived in both Pearland and Friendswood and IMO, they are both great places to invest and I'm also looking to purchase properties in these areas.Friendswood has great schools and attracts high quality tenants.

I lived for a time in Budapest and was amazing at the rate and quality of development, despite crazy political happenings and generally disruptive politics. 

On a deck you want to be sure you control the type and quality of the product applied.

As this is rental property I want to buy something which is reasonable but good quality product.
