The control board should be able to tell if the temperature sensor is unplugged or broken, so if you aren't getting any error codes on the display, the sensor is probably OK. 

Also, being that Florida is a common vaca destination, you also have the opportunity (depending on your state/local ordinance) to turn them into short term rentals (like AirBnB) to obtain an even higher returns!

There is nothing in there for management, legal , mowing any common areas ( if needed) telephone etc.
