Brand New Investor in Tampa/St. Pete

Hello Everyone,

My name is Justin and I am brand new to the world of real estate investing.  I read a book called "Rich Dad, Poor Dad'' that a few people might have heard of and, I instantly became interested and excited to dive into real estate.  I currently work as a mechanical engineer designing HVAC systems for commercial projects, however, that is not how I would like to describe myself.  I enjoy many outdoor activities (running, biking, surfing, and skiing) as well as traveling.  I also consider myself a foodie in training.

My ultimate goal for investing is to replace my salary and aim for financial freedom.  I could not believe any more strongly with the BP log in page saying we were not meant to spend all of our time in cubicles and I aim to change that for myself.  The route I am looking towards going is buy and hold with multi-family homes.  I realize that my niche might change, but right now I would just like to acquire my first property with that intention.

I'm excited to be here and look forward to meeting more people on here and locally through meet-ups.

Justin
