Try to stay in the better neighborhoods, and spend time researching the tax rates... you can google 2019 tax rates for Cook County and just check the rates out for the different towns so you know the worst case scenario.

If you can find a property with enough meat on the bone you can get a loan but they're going to want to know your exit strategy for paying them off.

Basically 4 bed homes with each bed having a private bath room  a big great room and kitchenso four students could live there have commuity cooking and TV room but private bed bathI like those.. 

To me at some point you think you have a handle on things, then you get a probate sell and you've never done one before.

The whole sw burbs in cook county have crazy high taxes which have made properties cheap (but your total monthly payments often higher then city with lower taxes).
