I find comments by individuals saying that Dodd-Frank is an attack on freedoms, property rights and free enterprise put in place by the consumer advocates, they just aren't looking under the rug and seeing how this further benefits those who believe corporations and money should control the world.

Before you cam be a member the bureau will basically vet you as to knowing what you're doing, fair credit reporting practices and the nature of your business.Unless your rents are collected by a member property manager as Steve mentioned your only way to ding credit is by the eviction process which is picked up through legal notices as Bill and Duncan mentioned. :).

@Lyndsey Keller,When you sign up with the bureaus, they will pull your personal credit, and they are looking for tax liens and bankruptcy and if your credit is not good, they will still sign you up, but you will need to put a deposit on file and as a landlord, The bureaus will not allow you to charge a tenant more than what you are paying the bureau for the credit report.Joe Gore
