I recently graduated college and have been saving up to buy and househack a multifamily property (2-4 units) just outside the Boston area (Medford, Malden, Chelsea, Revere, Dorchester, etc..).  

While in school, network with other like minded individuals and make great lifelong contacts.

I figured there was a need for parent/family STRs near the school.

To start it off, I've known this agent since High School (Mistake on my part, I know).

Other similar areas in the city of Philadelphia can have similar rents with somewhat higher property taxes ($300-$700/year) with key locations having higher section 8 rent compared to market rent.Other areas of Delaware County will get you with higher property taxes ($2000-$5000/year) due to nicer school districts though the rent is not significantly higher.

I was born in the U.S but moved to Korea in an early age and came back on high school freshman year by myself.

Please post what you have found out so we can all get a little schooling on that climate.

He has a home in a really good area, in between elementary and jr. high schools, good access to amenities, and a quiet, working class neighborhood.

But, I`m a little bit old school, not quite up on all of the available technologies, but I`m willing to spend money for a coach to flatten the learning curve.
