Can you afford to sue and fight the unconstutionality of this town bully when if your jealous nosey socialistic neighbors complain to him, town and police state on you, for working hours in town, other made up codes like noise pollution or too much activity, too bright lights  too tall ladder etcAre you going to continue to keep ball and chain around your neck for fear of master slave owner aka unvoted unapproved town position of person enforcing codes not laws ?

Absent a motive to profit, if you primary objective is to make room in the garage, just get the car on the public street and call the local police/sheriff about the "abandoned car."

You are not going to have a great location for low-mod housing unless you build it.Pick areas that are clean, that don't have a bad reputation (check police calls).Selecting properties one at a time, IMO, really is about location and functionality more than style or amenities, you want a safe, affordable and sound structure.

Noise is a given when living in an apartment building.If it truly is that loud I'd suggest having your family contact the police but it really sounds like a long shot to get anything to change.

I slipped up trusted the wrong guy to much he had worked for me over a year, and he ended up falling off the wagon, was taking new tools back to the store for store credit and other fun stuff to pawn shop for cash.. when confronted he admitted it and I reported it to the police.
