You will have to JUMP at some point but equip yourself with adequate tools for the tool belt.  

My concern is of course the expense of replacing/maintaining broken equipment.

The old systems are shot, very inefficient. 1968 model Lennox equipment.It is possible to buy the equipment online for about 1/2 of the total bid, but then I would be dealing with a part time installer, if I could find one.

They have things like insurance, marketing, tool, equipment & supply, vehicle, and administrative support costs. 

Avoid having any evidence of your renovations being done such as ladders, paint cans, or construction equipment and have each room clean and tidy.

Perhaps it's a combination of both.I purchased my equipment new and have had great luck with repairs.  

We are open to financing the operations but are not equipped or inclined to actually run the operation.

Sometimes there isn't anything you can offer, but more often than not we are well-equipped to offer solutions.
