Just getting started in real estate, Boise Idaho!

Hi BP Community! Super excited to get involved with this great group. I am living in Boise, Idaho and am interested in getting started with SFH or small MFH rentals. It is a sellers market in this area, and it seems that deals are pretty hard to come by, but I am excited to hear from other people in the area and in similarly competitive markets about how they are creating success for themselves. I am a homeowner, but other than my first home purchase last summer I am still very new to the entire real estate game. Meeting with my realtor this week to discuss my investment goals and hopefully start building some other contacts, but would love the opportunity to connect with other investors, landlords, property managers, and agents in the Boise area!

Hi @Casey Pozzanghera, welcome to Bigger Pockets! The Boise area is an interesting market market for sure. Even though it appears to be somewhat a seller’s market, there are still great deals to be had by those that are willing to work for them. Depending on what your real estate goals are, you will need various people along your way. I personally don’t use a real estate agent to find many deals because they usually don’t fit my criteria. However, I have a friend that bought one last week that was a lead from an agent and the numbers are great! What are your goals with real estate for the short term and for long term? We would love to hear about them and see how we can assist you along your way.
