It takes months to get evicted and at this time the courts would never push it through.

The Cook County Circuit Court has made the decision to partially close the circuit court until April 15th.

If cities close services like courts, like in a hurricane, no recordings means no closings, which really mucks things up. 

If you want to follow the law, you cannot rent it as a 3 separate unit.If you go to court, it will be seen as you are renting a place without a rental licence.You might be able to live in one of the bottom unit and rent the other while you house hack.

Not even sure what I would do at that point but take their SD’s as rent and tell them that they need to pay that back and continue to pay rent or they’ll be evicted .... whenever the court house doors open again and God only knows when that will be at this point.Are they also suspending or putting forbearance on mortgages too?

They weren’t out and the owners court date for the eviction hearing was supposed to be yesterday.

Would you ever consider an applicant who talked about (as to why they are moving) how they had to withhold rent and take their previous landlord to court (I'm not sure who initiated actually), even if they were completely right and justified?
