I'm continually astounded when I learn people I 'randomly' meet also invest in the sector, and I've made a variety of nice connections and learned about myriad models/ideas in this fashion.  

My particular area of interest is in rental home properties - what are some good resources for getting more information about this sector of the real estate investing market?

Hello All,I am new to the site and am actually looking to splash into the Real Estate Investing sector.  

Right now, I am in the Financial Sector, kind of.

I currently reside in Boston doing sales in the e-commerce sector and have decided to take the plunge into real estate investing ever since I had the pleasure of reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad".

I would diversify my money and split that "earnings" across several sectors.

I was laid off from my energy sector job a few weeks ago and have decided to devote full time to this venture that has been on my heart and mind for as long as I can remember. 

Employment and housing sectors have improved in the past year as U.S. unemployment dipped below 5% for the first time in many years.

There will be more upcoming layoffs in the energy sector.
