They'd like to reuse the 'VA' home loan to build their 'dream home'.

With the inherent hassles dealing with the bureaucracy and ever changing guidelines, not to mention the hassle with dealing with low quality and low income tenants and areas, low rent rates, I can't imagine why anyone would even dream of dealing with Section 8! 

I paid 90000 and owe  about 71000 but now the house is only worth about 75000  ever since been to scared to follow my dreams of becoming an investor out of fear of making The same mistake  the home loan insurance and taxes should be about 2,600ish. the bigger apartment should rent between 1800-2300 and the smaller apartment should rent for about 1100-1700.  

then outside, the siding was new, roof was new, and I just couldn't pass it up, this is a dream house to me.  30k bid and no one else competed and it was mine.  

I was super nervous the first time I went - but now that's my community of people who dream on my level, and we all do business together and help each other :)What keeps you from going to meetups?

They are just dreaming and not realistic.

This has also helped me create an opportunity to help my family, allowing them to invest in the US through these contacts, earning returns we could not dream of getting in Canada.Fast track 9 months, we have bought 5 property's in three states, sold our first flip, and have 3 great rental properties.. i understand we all have different circumstances, but networking and studying created an opportunity i didnt think was even remotely possible living in Canada.At the end of the day its about volume, the more people you talk to, the greater the chances are for you to find the right opportunity that works for you.

My macro bet is on the waning desire of the American dream of home ownership and more emphasis on being mobile through renting.
