Which is how I know to talk to previous landlords, and not just the current one, which solves all of the objections you have to the strategy (other than the fact that it makes you mad, obviously.)We get it, you disagree with anyone who uses cash-for-keys.

The paralysis is partly a personal life change and the 6 month window is when I will have more freedom to spend investment capital but i am also starting to get shiny object syndrome with pinning down my target area which is slowing down the process.
