You could also do horseback riding, mountain biking, etc-more adventure holidays.

I don’t want to have to charge, but need to know if I’m legally able to in case the house is left in poor condition and I’m suck paying the mortgage through the holidays.

Other situations I consider to be less problematic are moves due to needing more space (pregnant and needing another bedroom for the newborn), and due to condition of the house they are in (although these might also be a problem to watch for, but things like mold, fire, insects, broken down heating system - they may make a house unlivable, just have to watch that the tenant isn't the cause of these issues).But for the most part, people don't want to move around the holidays, and that starts in this country around Thanksgiving.

But I am not a lawyer and I have never slept in a Holiday Inn Express.I didnt form my LLC until my 3rd property.The best tax advantage in my opinion is depreciation.I believe the 4 house rule applies to conventional mortgages backed by Fannie Mae, its not a bank rule.
