This is the same tax you pay as an employee (that your employer matches) so you're barking up the right tree when you question how your high salary impacts the flipping income.As @Natalie Kolodij rightly advises, flipping is almost always Self Employment Income.

Your only recourse is to have it fixed, or risk having the property marked red tagged, which if being sold will also impact what another investor would be willing to pay for the property since "as is" it is not inhabitable.

I don't think this will turn into the fiasco back in 06-07, but it will definitely impact the residential real estate market in a big way.
