Reading a Book is Great Only If…

All successful investors, business titans, and my role models talk about knowledge being power if action is taken. Learning new skills or strategies is the way forward if you make decisions to take action to improve your business or life. I have taken that advice very seriously by reading more books over the last year than I probably have in my entire life. I have been devouring books to learn new skills, improve my beliefs, better my way of thinking and increase my personal value. Most importantly, I’m taking action on key takeaways that resonate with me from each book I read. I’m currently reading Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins and I just had that “ahh ha” moment where my vision is crystal clear. The vision is, knowing what decisions I must make today to shape my future destiny. Uncle Tony talks about three key decisions that we must make to be successful:

1. What to focus on

2. What things mean to you

3. What to do

The most important is to make a decision and take action. Without action you can’t advance, you can’t improve and you can’t be successful. Everyone has different decisions that need to be made and what course of action is best. I made my decision on what I need to do and I’m currently taking action. I urge you to make a decision today and take the necessary action to improve your overall success.

Here is a list of other books I’ve read or listened to recently:

  • Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins
  • Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin
  • Tools of Titans by Tim Ferris
  • Money Master the Game by Tony Robbins
  • Thrive by Arianna Huffington
