@Bill S the lot is 6,870 sqft...I checked the Denver property records for this house and under property type it says "residential triplex" and under zoning district it says "E-SU-DX"Where can I go to confirm that this property has been zoned and approved to be a multi-family property?

If you want to be sure of the accuracy of a flood map and the location of a particular house you might try having a structural engineer look up the location for you they always seem to have access to the most accurate information as they have to design any building to be structurally sound on any location or tell you if its not feasible and just move on to another property.

They were not sued in those situations.One thing you should confirm is if the contractor you were holding the contract with has work comp coverage.
